As neuroscientists learn more and more about the brain, we are learning more reasons why instrumental music has such a powerful impact on students. The string students in my classroom and lessons “engage practically every area of the brain at once!” Their brains form connections between the two hemispheres of the brain as they participate in our weekly rehearsals, lessons, and practice sessions.
